Release A Balloon for Alfie:

More than 350 runners of the 10K fun run were joined by many more people at the finish
line on the Government Acre Ramsgate. Balloons were released after speeches from
Deputy Major Ralph Holt and Actress Ms Brenda Blethyn. The Blue Balloons were attached with message tags written in tribute of Alfie. The balloons were provided by expressions of Broadstairs, one week later they received a phone call informing them that one of the balloons had arrived in Germany!
