Bush Tucker Trial 2013

Alfie’s local fish bar was offering customers again this year a taste of the outback alongside its’ main menu to raise funds for The Alfie Gough Trust.This was inspired by the reality TV show ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’.
Newington fish bar in Ramsgate was serving up a feast of exotic delicacies.
Dishes of the day included deep fried kangaroo testicles, vomit fruit witchetty grubs and fermented eggs. Thanks to the generous contributions of their fearless customers!

Christmas Market at The Oak Hotel, Ramsgate

Brighton Colour Run and Parachute Jump

Raised over £200.00 – August 12th & September 14th, 2013

The Alfie Gough Trust would like to thank Catryn Beynon, Andy Nichol and Bex George who ran the 5k Colour Run in Brighton. They also took part in a parachute jump.

G Casino Charity Poker Tournament

Raised: £1,119.32

The Alfie Gough trust teamed up with G Casino for a charity poker tournament.

Over 68 poker players took part for the tournament.
Throughout the evening fundraising from cup cakes and a raffle for a signed football shirt. During the breaks the players had a chance to play some fast face up poker hands as well as spin the wheel to win casino prizes.

The tournament continued in to the early hours with three finalists choosing to split the final prize money between them. One of the runners up donated the winnings to the charity and combined with the money raised from the entrants a staggering amount was raised for the charity.

The poker players of the casino enjoyed the night and the good turn out for the tournament.

We would like to thank G Casino for the support in making this a success and we look forward to another event like this in the future.

Gemma Powell’s Starlight Stroll

The Alfie Gough Trust would like to thank Gemma Powell for selecting Alfies as her chosen charity for the Starlight Stroll.
The event is run by the Pilgrims Hospice.
Starting from The Pavillion, Broadstairs with Live Music before the walk starts at 10pm.The 8km coastal route goes towards Ramsgate along the seafront and back. Gemma kindly donated her sponsorship money to the charity.

Charlotte Simmons’ Gig in Leysdown

Charlotte Simmons held a gig and collected for Alfies Trust during her session at the Paradise Club in Leysdown on the Isle of Sheppey.

Haddon Dene Annual Prize Giving

Haddon Dene held their annual prize giving, during which a video year 6 made called ‘Haddon Dene six – 0′, which has been dedicated to the charity was played.
After the prize giving a collection was made for the charity.

Charity Waxing at the Jekyll & Hyde

A Charity weekend was held at the Jekyll and Hyde Pub High Street Ramsgate to raise money for the Alfie Gough Trust.
Locals joined in the events which included sponsored waxing of legs , chest and eyebrows. Some of the local ladies even had their heads shaved to reach donation targets. It was agreat day that finished with a grand raffle and all of the locals at the Jekyll and Hyde should be proud of the amazing achievement of raising an amazing sum of money for Children with Cancer.

Fun Quiz Night

The Alfie Gough joined with Academy Fm for their first joint Fun Quiz Night. The Event was held at St John Ambulance hall in Ramsgate.
